Suspended In-Between | 8"x10"

$155.00

From The Intervals Collection by Payton James, inspired by transformative in-between moments and growth. Bold, linear elements juxtaposed with soft, atmospheric horizons.

This collection of paintings express the disconnected and fragmented sense of time during a liminal transition, presenting pieces that pay tribute to the past while simultaneously evoking a sense of the future. These works capture intervals of time within a single painting.

Suspended In-Between

8"x10"

The feeling pervades that somewhere out there something is just missing—that even when everything is perfect, the unknown is lurking. So we stare. Haunted by the past, weary of the future, hoping that no one notices we aren’t truly with them. This original 8”x10” painting is painted with a combination of various collage materials including ash, baking powder, tape, ceramic stucco gel medium, and more on a gallery wrapped, hand-built canvas.
